About Us

At Silver Snout Center, we believe that every dog deserves love, dignity, and comfort—especially in their golden years. Founded by husband and wife team Derek and Chelle, their story began in 2021 with a simple act of love: fostering senior-aged dogs. It didn’t take long before their hearts—and their home—were filled with a passion for caring for senior and special needs pups who needed a soft place to land.

By 2022, that passion had grown into action with the launch of their own nonprofit senior dog rescue. Since then, Derek and Chelle have rescued and cared for hundreds of senior-aged and special needs dogs, offering medical care, companionship, and a second chance at life.

In 2025, they took their mission one step further by founding Silver Snout Wellness Group and opening the Silver Snout Center—a safe, specialized boarding space designed specifically for senior aged and special needs dogs. Unlike traditional kennels, our center offers a home-based, wellness-focused environment tailored to the needs of aging and special needs pups. Whether it's medication management, mobility support, or simply a peaceful place to rest, we provide the same love and attention we give to our own.
